The weekend just got totally awesome as RIUH takes you back to the 90s! Taking place at APW on Bangsar’s Jalan Riong on the 28th and 29th of July from 11am till 10pm, RIUH is a curated creative platform that hosts a spectrum of eclectic, artisanal brands to discover, local and international flavours to feast on, creative workshops, showcases and live acts, all under one roof.
Akin to community-based artisanal markets such as Covent Garden in London, Finders Keepers in Australia, Knack Market in Bangkok, Brightspot Market and Indoestri in Indonesia and Public Garden in Singapore, RIUH aims to put Kuala Lumpur on the creative map - timely, to further enhance the creative industry in Malaysia.
RIUH is celebrating the bright and happy era of VHS, button badges, Tora Tora and The Spice Girls! Chillout to the glorious sounds of Leaism, Tasha Aleia and Yasher then rock out to OAG! 2Twenty2 Studio will also be supplying some serious dance moves and B Boy action.
What’s more, the much-anticipated Encore Melaka are set to thrill with an exciting drum performance as well as a unique History Challenge with Parameswara, rustic photo ops and win tickets to watch Encore Melaka at the majestic venue itself!
Take part in a 90s tie dye workshop by Shaqira Ramli and bring the kids to watch Macbeth, an interactive, storytelling showcase by KL Shakespeare Players and bubble fun of course! RIUH will continue the collaboration with F Talent to promote #JOMTEATER, a movement to create more awareness on the Malaysian performing arts scene via a community acting class which will teach students how to apply their Chakra.
