An accidental discovery about hand block printing made founder Alyaa dive deeper into this dying art and pursue its slow and delicate art form. LEA was formed to celebrate the art of hand block printing and rediscovering the traditional art in modern motives. Even though block printing by hand is an extremely slow process, but we believe that it is capable of yielding highly artistic results. No two handmade items are exactly alike. Variations in colour, shading, texture, shape and grain are inherent in a handmade item. At LEA, we are very committed to source the purest of materials and constantly looking for eco-conscious alternatives for our produce - from ink to print. We hope that we are able to resurrect a sustainable livelihood for this craft as well as encouraging a valued appreciation of the things we own and the way we come to own them.
